If it has to do with cultivating happiness, health and balance, I can help.
My love for food and cocktails helps me think in terms of recipes. Here is my favorite recipe so far.
A simple nutrition plan
An effective and efficient exercise program
Start with self love. Respect yourself enough to walk away from anything that no longer serves you, grows you or makes you happy. Know your worth, know you are enough exactly as you are today, but also know there is nothing wrong with wanting to be the best YOU that you can be.
Choose a simple nutrition plan. One that fuels your body with real, whole foods and teaches you about proportion and portion. Yes, you are trying to eat healthy. No, you are not on a diet.
Add an effective and efficient exercise program. Know that the only bad workout is the one you didn’t do. Select a program you will actually do. Train smart not hard, with maximum gains and minimum effort. Think of your workouts as important meetings you’ve scheduled with yourself. Make it a priority. Get it done. Build a healthy habit.
Toss in a full serving of passion. Don’t lose your fire. There is no passion to be found in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.
Mix in some nourishing superfoods. The food you eat can either be the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison. Nourish your body with superfoods.
Surround yourself with a supportive and like-minded community. Surround yourself with people who have dreams, desire and ambition; they’ll help you push for and realize your own.
Add a dose of accountability. Set goals for yourself and believe you can do it. Fully plug in to the community for the encouragement and support you need to get it done. Accountability is the glue that ties commitment to the result.
Finish it off with some fun. Be stubborn about your goals and flexible about your methods. There is plenty of room for celebrations, cocktails, holidays, vacations, restaurants, parties and dessert in a healthy lifestyle. The idea is to create healthy habits, not restrictions. And like riding a bike, to keep your balance you have to keep moving forward.
Serve and enjoy! Now you are at the point where you love your body and yourself enough to take care of it. Love yourself and life’s a party!
